General Surgery

The Department of General Surgery is a major provider of acute surgical care and tertiary and quaternary surgical services in Dhaka city. We provide comprehensive surgical services in general and surgical subspecialties including appendicitis, acute cholecystitis, intestinal obstruction, trauma, abscesses, carbuncles, gangrene and necrotizing fasciitis, patients with sepsis due to surgical conditions.

Our consultants of this department routinely attend national and international conferences to remain abreast with the recent knowledge and to present our work.

Consultant led dedicated service managing trauma and a wide variety of emergency general surgical conditions
Integrated multi-disciplinary approach to trauma cases
Collaboration with Theatre services, Intensive care, and Emergency department
Prompt access to urgent endoscopy
Multiple outpatient clinics to assess patients post-discharge
Integrating multi-disciplinary care of the multiply injured patient
